The last few years have been a storm of feelings, ups and downs, lights and shadow, sadness and happiness. Videotraums new album “Ebbe // Flut” takes us on that journey through high and low tides. Inspired by the city of Hamburg and its long port history, the melancholy of its rains, the beauty of its forests and the diversity of its streets. Videotraum guides us down to the depths of the ocean and up to places of joy and love. Melancholic and melodic rhythms merge into danceable (heart)beats reminding us that we are alive and still humans under the influences of nature. Just like the tides that are moved by the effects of the moon. In nature everything is balanced, shadows are part of light, every day belongs to a night and after the stormiest flood comes calm and silence. With their album Jo & Misa let us feel the flow of that balance.
