Minimalkombinat – mk127 (2023) Mørkelagt Bevegelse (Shady Movement) was a Post-Punk/ New Wave band from Oslo, Norway. They started up in 1981 as Akupunktør, but changed the name to Mørkelagt Bevegelse two years later. The duo consisting of Ole Henrik Brekke (b. 1964 in Oslo) and Jan Olav Sjåvik (b. 1964 Oslo) used Guitars, drum machines and analogue/digital synthesizers. Mørkelagt Bevegelse was inspired by Joy Division, The Cure and especially Eyeless In Gaza. Their musical expression was dark, melancholy and calm, but yet in a driving movement towards a glimmer of hope in the brighter harmonies in their sound. that recorded some epic tracks in the years 1982-1984. release a selection of those gems on a vinyl LP/CD of which the majority is totally unreleased and unknown to the public so far…. the album will include demos from 1982 and songs from their incredibly rare and sought-after tape.

Minimalkombinat – mk124 (2023) Bunker Strasse is a cold wave band founded in Arras,France in 1984. First named Bunker, the group changed their name to avoid confusion with the Die Bunker group that existed at the same time. The line up will evolve several times between 1984 and 1989. From Christophe Dhedin the group changed their name again to be called Martial Model. Kristian Dernoncourt is now the singer of the Parisian Cold Wave group No Tears, having been part of the Neutral Project and Black Renaissance bands between 1991 and 1996. Since 1988 he also continues to support his solo project: Opinion G821. Limited to 177 copies, it includes a leaf and an insert with photo and info. Minimalkombinat – mk118 (2023) Bukowski Band : were formed in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (Serbia now), active from 1985 to 1986. They performed live in various clubs and venues but never released any album back then. This tape is a piece of evidence of their existence. Two members of the band went on to form Psihokratija in 1988. A1-A4 were recorded 1985 A5-A6, B1-B6 + cd bonus track were recorded 2022. The tracks recorded in 1985 were saved from the only known tape in existence. The 2022 tracks were exclusively recorded for this release by the original members.

Minimalkombinat – mk116 (2023) Units : New Wave band formed in San Francisco (US) in 1978. Scott Ryser and his partner & wife, Rachel Webber, were the principal, songwriters, synth players, singers and filmmakers for the UNITS. The UNITS were one of America’s first electronic new wave bands and have been cited along with The Screamers and Suicide as pioneers of the music genre “synthpunk”. Scott & Rachel moved from SF to NYC in 1984 where Scott continues to make music & film With the exception of "Unit Back In Unity", all the songs on UNITS - Demos 1977 - 1978 were recorded on a 2 track reel to reel tape deck in Ryser's bedroom/studio. Some of them made it to a cassette tape demo called "Noise Generator" in 1978. The original UNITS, Scott, Tim and Brad, all went to high school together in Redding, California before moving to San Francisco, soon after graduating from high school. The song "Unit Back In Unity" (written in 1978) was taken from a live video recording from early 1979, recorded at Marin College in the Bay Area, with Richard Driskell on drums. Because of the difference in musical style, he decided this music should be part of a different project, which he baptized Linear Movement. Most of the tracks were solo-experiments, but on some, he was joined by Peter Koutstaal, and Lieve Van Steerteghem, on vocals.
