Alberto Frignani (vox, synths), Cristian Camporesi (synths, guitar) and Matteo Leoni (synths) らは1989年末にMarika Martyrを結成。
グループメンバーにはGiancarlo Gattelli (bass), Andrea Mentrelli (guitar) and Marco Maltoni (bass)がいた。
彼らの音楽はニューウェイヴとエレクトロポップをミックスしたもので, 暗いイタリア語の歌詞があり, ほとんどがシンセ, シーケンサー, サンプラーで演奏されていた。
1992年4月にプロモーション用のデモテープ"Zone d'ombra"をリリースし, video tapeのサウンドトラック("Lolicon", 1992)をリリースし, テープコンピレーション"Creature" (1993年) やデペッシュモードのCDトリビュート"Death is everywhere" (1994年) に収録された。
1994年にSensoriaと名前を変え, ヨーロッパのクラブシーンのためにテクノやトランスのレコードを作り始めた。
Alberto Frignani (vox, synths), Cristian Camporesi (synths, guitar) and Matteo Leoni (synths) formed Marika Martyr at the end of 1989.
The group occasionally included Giancarlo Gattelli (bass), Andrea Mentrelli (guitar) and Marco Maltoni (bass).
Their music was a mixture of new wave and electro-pop with dark italian lyrics, mostly played with synths, sequencers and samplers.
In april 1992 they released a promotional demo tape, "Zone d'ombra", then released a soundtrack for a video tape ("Lolicon", 1992), appeared in the tape compilation "Creature" (1993) and in the Depeche Mode cd tribute "Death is everywhere" (1994).
In 1994 they changed their name to Sensoria and began producing techno and trance records for the european club scene.
